Sunrise Park Elementary’s PTA will be hosting the “Sunrise to Run” 5K run/walk this Saturday, March 16th. The 5K will start at 7:30 a.m. at the Pond Apple Pavilion in South County Regional Park. This is the first time that the race has been made into an official 5K that is open to the public, which is an exciting way to get the entire community involved in raising funds and awareness for the West Boca elementary school.
At 8:45 a.m., the younger athletes can participate in a 1-mile Kid Run. There will also be a celebration carnival after the run/walk, featuring face painting, food vendors, bounces houses, and a rock climbing wall. The registration fee is $5 if completed by March 11th (tomorrow!) and $30 from March 12- race day for ages 17+. The cost for runners age 16 and younger is $15, and a family of six is eligible for the family price of $60. The registration fee for the Kid Run is $10, including a T-shirt.
