October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. There are many local events to take part in including The 2014 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. The Walk will take place October 25th at Mizner Park Amphitheater. If you are interested in participating, you can sign up online at Making Strides of South Palm Beach. The Walk starts at 8:30 a.m.
Other events include the Breast Cancer Awareness Month for Residents at Whitehall on October 7th and Taste of Delray Marketplace on October 9th from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. Patrons can purchase tickets for the Taste event online.
2nd Annual Pink Paradise Hawaiian Night will be taking place at The Shops at Boca Center on October 10th from 7 to 9 p.m.
Other fundraising events taking place in October include The Walk to End Alzheimer’s on October 11, 2014 in Mizner Park. The walk starts at 8 a.m. To participate, click here
The Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation will hold its second Strikes for Life Bowling Tournament on October 19th at Strikes at Boca, 21046 Commercial Trail, Boca Raton. Registration is at 9 a.m. and bowling begins at 10 a.m. The entry fee is $60. To register, click here.
And Finally, Boca Ballet Theatre’s 23rd Annual “A Princely Affair” Luncheon and Performance will take place October 26, 2014 at noon at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. Tickets are $90 per adult and $45 for children 13 and under. Call 561-995-0709 for tickets.
