Many of our readers have noticed ongoing work at the corner of 441 and Glades. Above you can see progress on the southeast corner in the Westwinds plaza (the one with Publix and Home Depot). We stopped by and took some more photos. As we previously reported this will be about 17,000 square feet and will have five stores including VisionWorks and European Wax.

There’s a lot of water involved in this project. The area was previously a small lake. In this next shot (from near the AT&T store and Chipotle) you can see that they’re basically building it on top of water:
And probably unrelated to that water, there’s a big puddle on the driveway between the new structure and Wells Fargo (AT&T store in the far background):
On the north side of Glades Road in Shadowood the Walgreens work has for now eliminated even more of the parking lot than before.
They are offering free valet parking in an attempt to make up for it:
