The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office arrested Joel Fabian Davila on Wednesday. Now 21 years old, Davila was 17 when he was accused of shooting his mother’s boyfriend in a trailer park near Gateway and Congress in Boynton Beach. The shooting took place in July of 2012 after an argument. The Sheriff then said he was “on the run” and “armed and dangerous.”

At the time PBSO described the fugitive teen as 5’4″ and 140 pounds. The booking blotter does not indicate his current height and weight. He is charged with “Murder in the First Degree – Premeditated” and also with a weapon offense for “shooting a missile into a building.”
Court records show the charge as attempted murder and as best we can tell victim Ketric Dames is alive and well (and engaged). A warrant was issued for Davila in late July of 2012.
We have reached out to PBSO for more details and are awaiting their response.
