Young man from Boca Winds arrested for battery.
Brendan Brito (19) of Boca Winds (Waters Edge Estates) was arrested for domestic dating battery. The incident began at Miller’s Ale House on Glades near Lyons Road, where he allegedly had a physical alteration with his girlfriend.
By the time PBSO arrived Brito had left and was at home in Boca Winds. While deputies were with another woman at the scene showed them a picture Brito had sent her of himself with a shotgun barrel in his mouth.
Deputies surrounded the home. Deputy Alvarez talked with Brito and persuaded him to surrender himself.
Witnesses and video showed that Brito had hit his girlfriend (a hostess at Miller’s Ale House) several times.
This apparently started with allegations that the girlfriend had been unfaithful, which she said referred to someone before she started dating Brito.
We see no priors for Mr. Brito. It appears his family moved to Boca Winds in 2019, and he is a graduate of Monarch High in Coconut Creek.
