Pita Pan on 441 Near Sandalfoot
Love this name – Pita Pan is a true Mom and Pop store selling products that seem focused on Israelis and devout Jews. The store is almost hidden behind one of our favorite restaurants, Sushi Yoshee, on the west side of 441 south of Marina, and just north of Loxahatchee.
Mom is Rachel Vidal, who we did not see there yesterday. Pop is Solomon. We think he goes by Solly or Souly, but I misplaced the card.
The small shop has shelves filled with things you probably will not find at a supermarket. Many are packaged with Hebrew, usually with English as well.
There are also some coolers with kefir (across between sour cream, cream cheese and yogurt), cottage cheese, frozen pita, and various salads.
And as the name suggests, there are baked goods. This includes pita (fresh and frozen), challah, and even soufganiyot (think jelly donut).
We took home some pita, kefir, and soufganiyot. It was all good. Worth a look if you want to try something different.
