A Coral Springs Excursion
We spent the afternoon in Coral Springs, visiting the museum, an Indian restaurant, and The Walk.
The Coral Springs Museum of Art had an Indian dance exhibition (not Native American but the country India). This is part of a series of events there. They have some interesting art on the walls along with projects by area high school kids. The complex also has a variety if events and shows.
The woman in charge of the Indian dance event recommended Khana Kh’zana on Sample. It’s excellent for those who like authentic Indian food. However, if you don’t like spicy and rank interior design and presentation over taste, it might not be for you. It’s small inside and the delicious food is served on disposable plates with plasticware and styrofoam cups. That suggests the focus is actually take-out rather than dine-in, but it’s fine for eating there if you understand the setting. There are non-spicy choices, but the best dishes we had were Chicken Madras (spicy with a hint of coconut milk) and Vegetable Biryani. Both of those were spicy.
Then we went to The Walk. It’s a pretty space off University, with offices, restaurants and shops.
We had ice cream at Kilwin’s which has a lot of ice cream choices and plenty more.
All of this is a short drive south from West Boca and a decent alternative to Mizner Park.
