Early to a meeting in Weston, I had lunch at Sabor Latino, a Peruvian restaurant just west of the Sawgrass. Note that the lunch menu is not available on weekends.
It’s small inside with seating for maybe 24 people.
As a free starter I was given a small dish of roasted corn and a purple corn drink (Chicha morada), the latter probably an unusual gesture from the server. Both were pleasant diversions from routine cuisine.
For the main course I ordered Seco de Res. It came out as three chunks of steak with white rice and beans (refried?). Both the meat and beans had excellent flavors. The only quibble is that there should have been a little more gravy/sauce for the steak.
Overall a very nice lunch. It’s a bit of a drive from West Boca but a short trip from the Sawgrass Mills mall, Markham Park, or the BB&T Center if you’re coming down for any of those.
