Omni Middle School: FCCLA Competition Winners

Omni Middle School participated in the State FCCLA competition in Orlando on March 2nd through March 5th. FCCLA stands for Family, Career and Community, Leaders of America. FCCLA is a nonprofit national career and technical student organization for students in grades 6-12. FCCLA is the only national career and technical student organization with the family as its central focus.
Congratulations to the following gold medal FCCLA state champions: Annie Coen, Isabella Ellingsworth, Jessica Giang, Valerie Kwong, William Metlach, Liv Myrhe, Kevin Patlis, Skylar Sanchez, and Joseph Wallace. Winning silver medals at the state competition were Alana Bruckenstein, Donja Dewberry, Victoria Gonzalez, Sheina Koolik, Alexandra Lopez, Olivia Lopez, Maya Portal, Molly Schiller, Abigail Taylor, and Rebecca Tesmond. In addition, Omni had three students awarded bronze medals. They were Alexina Chasin, Daniella Scott and Brianna Texidor.
This outstanding winning team is sponsored by Omni teacher, Mrs. Carolyn Zaremba. She has been bringing home the gold for Omni for nine years! Her assistant this year and last year is another teacher at Omni, Ms. Phyllis Fimiani.
