Tijuana Flats: Mission Bay Ribbon Cutting

Tijuana Flats is opening a new restaurant in Mission Bay. The Ribbon-Cutting is slated for tomorrow, Friday May 3rd at 10:30 am, with the West Boca Chamber promoting the event.
Update: Here are some photos from the Ribbon Cutting. We were there and enjoyed a lunch preview.

This is one of our favorite restaurants and we drive to Coconut Creek to eat there. West Boca News will attend the ribbon cutting and we’ll post pictures when it’s done.
They will be open for regular business starting Monday, May 6th. And of course, Tuesday means Taco Tuesdaze with two tacos, chips and a drink for $4.99. That’s a popular special.
Update: At the ribbon cutting I had the chance to speak with staff. Tijuana Flats has about 90 company-owned locations with 20 in South Florida, and they are obviously growing. On the lighter side, I thought TJ Flats was a good nickname but apparently that’s not commonly used. T Flats is used by some fans. But the company itself sticks with the full name.
