Halloween Happenings in West Boca

ghostThe Daggerwing Nature Center is having a Halloween “BOO”ardwalk Event on October 25, from 6-8 pm. Wear your costume, bring a flashlight and see what you can find outdoors. Inside learn about spooky creatures of the night and take part in activities and crafts.  Children of all ages welcome with adult supervision. This event is free and no registration is required. The Nature Center is located in South County Regional Park.
Enjoy Trick or Treat Tales at the Glades Public Library on October 29th at 6:30 pm. There will be stories, songs, games, a craft and short movie. Please preregister. Or enjoy the annual walk-through Haunted House on October 30th at 6 pm for ages 5 and up.
The West Boca Public Library is having not-so-scary stories  for ages 3-5 on October 31 at 11:30 am. There will be stories, a short film and a craft. For grades K-2, there are spine-tingling stories, a scary movie and a creepy craft at 3:30 pm. Please preregister for both events.
The Glades Presbyterian Church is holding a Harvest Festival on October 26th.  The Church is located at 21121 Judge Winikoff Drive.
haunted houseEnjoy haunted house tours, family activities and a kids film festival during Shriek Week, October 18-19 and 25-26 at Sugar Sand Park. The fun starts at 6:00 pm. Tickets for the haunted house are $7. There is a less scary version of the Haunted House on October 24th from 5 to 8 pm.
Take a nighttime nature walk with ghostly guides and ghouls at the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center on October 19th starting at 6:30 pm. Walks depart every 30 minutes until 9 p.m. Parents must accompany their children ages 6 and up. Children may wear costumes but no swords, sabers or other pointy accessories. Tickets are $9 for members, $12 for non-members if purchased by 4 pm on October 18th. $17 at the door.
Come to the Monster Mash at The Swim Center on October 26th, 11 am to 1 pm. Kids ages 6 and up are invited, free, to swim or enjoy activities out of the water. Come in costume or not. For more information, go to www.bocaboodays.com.
halloween-FL-finalFor Adults, there is a party on October 29th at Blue Martini at Town Center. Tickets are $15 prepaid or $20 at the door. The party is sponsored by Steve Fox Social Club. The Steve Fox Social Club is a matchmaking firm for upscale singles.
