Arrests: Wild West Boca Weekend
The most serious arrest of the weekend involved Taylor Gilson, who may also be known as Tyler Gilson. Mr. Gilson (18) appears to be a Boca High graduate. He was booked early Monday morning on 2 counts each of robbery, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, grand theft, and one count of a small marijuana possession charge. His reported address is in East Boca, but he was arrested by the Sheriff suggesting that the incident occurred outside the city. He remains in custody at this writing.
Next up, three people were booked within a fairly short time of each other and on similar charges, from late Sunday night into early Monday morning.
Tiffany Hausbach (above left, 22), faces three mostly minor drug charges. Her reported address is just south of Boca Del Mar Drive near Powerline. She was released Monday afternoon, which should give her time to make the sexy lingerie party she’s promoting on her Facebook page.
Matthew Goldman (center picture of the three mugshots, 22) faces two counts of a drug charge that’s the same offense as one Ms. Hausbach faces. His reported address is East Boca, on the intracoastal, but he was also arrested by PBSO, again suggesting his incident was outside the city. Even though his name is so common in Boca, we’re pretty sure he’s the guy on the right, yet another Spanish River High graduate making the arrest pages. Mr. Goldman was released early Monday morning on bond.
The third of the threesome, Christina Ortiz (right, 26), also faces the same charge of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. She remains in jail as of this writing. Her reported address is very close to the Glades library. A Sun-Sentinel story from several months ago indicates a person with a similar name and age was arrested related to stolen golf clubs in West Boca. Per court records she has had many cases dating back to 2006 or earlier including several felonies.
We can’t find any clear connection between the three of them, but it seems odd that they’re all about the same age, were arrested about the same time, by the same police agency (PBSO) and for similar offenses.
For our last group, Derek VanWeenen (above left, 23) was arrested for a minor drug charge and what appears to be a domestic violence battery. Court records show several cases in his past.
Celia Fajardo (2nd from left, 44) was arrested for battery on Saturday and released the same day. She might be an employee of an area hospital. Her reported address is in Boca Pointe.
James Coulter (2nd from right, 36) was arrested for DUI on Saturday evening and released early the next morning. He might be a financial adviser and bond trader. With Palm Beach County’s DUI diversion program, the case will likely be resolved with a reduction to reckless driving. His reported address is in Country Landing off Ponderosa north of Palmetto.
Of course all arrestees are innocent until proven guilty.
