Free CPR Training: February 8th
Free “hands only” CPR training is being offered on February 8th at several fire stations throughout Palm Beach County. It runs from 9 am to 2 pm. Full CPR training takes longer, but we believe these are being offered in 30-minute sessions. Participants should wear comfortable clothes. It is important that people find a local facility that offers this service, regardless of where you’re from. Ottawa Coast2Coast may be of help if you live locally to the area. There are also some training sessions that offer AED training, with many teaching participants how to set up, how to use, and even how to change the battery of an AED similar to this m5070a replacement battery if needed. If you are looking for this extra training a search online for AED & CPR courses in your local area should help.
None of the stations are in what we consider to be West Boca, but one is near Town Center:
Boca Raton Fire Rescue Station #5
2333 W. Glades Rd., Boca Raton, 33431
We think the program is being sponsored primarily by Palm Beach County Emergency Management, but the school district’s Medical Magnet Program and Palm Beach State’s paramedic program are also involved. And of course PBC Fire Rescue is providing the space.
Update: It’s a “collaborative event involving 6 organizations coordinated by the Palm Beach County Department of Public Safety Division of Emergency Management. The contributing organizations include St. Mary’s Hospital, Palm Beach County School District, Palm Beach State College, Palm Beach County EMS Advisory Council, Palm Beach County EMS Providers, and Palm Beach County Medical Directors.”
