Cabo Flats in Delray Marketplace
Update: See our newer article – Cabo Flats Jacks Up Prices
Thursday we finally got to the new Cabo Flats in Delray Marketplace. It’s a Mexican restaurant that reminded us of Uncle Julio’s in Mizner Park and Rocco’s Tacos near Town Center.
Like those two Cabo has ample and attractive outdoor seating.
The interior is so big it was hard for us to get a good picture, but we took a shot at it.
We went for lunch. There’s no lunch menu and most of the entrees seemed pricey by lunch standards. However there are quesadillas and tacos at lower prices, with individual tacos as low as $3. This again reminded us of Rocco’s Tacos, which has similar taco deals.
We started with a guacamole appetizer. The menu describes it as “made to order” but our server didn’t ask how we wanted it. It came out bland which is how my companion likes it. It did have a good creamy texture.
I was in a cheap mood so I just had two tacos, one chicken and the other beef. They’re $3 each, and were good but not great. The tacos at Tijuana Flats are better, though Cabo has a far nicer atmosphere.
Companion had the Pancho Villa quesadilla, with chicken. It was very good – we both liked it.
Overall we liked it and we will go back. The fajitas are the real test for us and we will try them next time.
