Broward SWAT Raid in West Boca

pbso_swat_drugs1We’ve had three readers report that there was a SWAT raid near the intersection of Kimberly and Wyoming, which is just east of 441. We believe it was for a Broward County incident, and Allen Perez (28) was arrested:

And a third:

What happened yesterday with swat team … On Kimberly right by the gas station

Mr. Perez is charged with robbery with a firearm and also aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony. He is being held in the Broward Main Jail with bond set at $250K for the assault, and apparently no bond on the robbery.
BSO says that Perez attempted to rob a 65-year-old woman in Pompano by posing as a delivery man, and then displaying a gun. Perez then allegedly stole a witness’ phone.
We found no criminal history for Mr. Perez in Palm Beach County. BSO says he is on probation for a crime in New York State, but we have been unable to verify that.
There is an Allen Perez who is the property owner of 9539 Wyoming Court, which is on the corner with Kimberly. He purchased the property in December for $260K. His wife cosigned the mortgage. She appears to work as a retail store manager in Broward, and did work in the past in the greater NYC area. We can’t confirm that the Allen Perez arrested is the same as the property owner. We did receive a phone message from a man claiming to be the property owner, indicating that he wasn’t arrested. And indeed, if he’s calling us, he’s probably not in jail. The number that he called from was clearly not a jail number. The Sheriff’s website indicates that the arrestee was an Allen Perez of Wyoming Court:
perez-wyoming
And of course, all arrestees are innocent until proven guilty.
