Apeiro – Coming Soon to Delray Marketplace

apeiro-signWest Boca News had a pleasant lunch yesterday at Burt & Max’s in Delray Marketplace, sitting outside with Charlotte the Wonder Puppy. The location gave us a clear view of something new coming this fall.
The owners of Burt & Max’s (and a few other restaurants) will be opening Apeiro next door. It is our understanding that the new restaurant will serve Mediterranean cuisine – Apeiro is related to the Greek word “Apeiron,” which means infinite. That might explain why the P and E in the name make the infinity symbol.
This opening is a sign that Delray Marketplace is doing well. We’re fans of the Jeff Eats blog, who predicted disaster:

the Delray Marketplace will prove to be an absolute “white elephant” and a financial disaster for most of the tenants that took leases

We thought at the time that Jeff had it wrong. The population in that area is growing with The Bridges, 7 Bridges, and Valencia Cove all going up. It’s a nice plaza. Now if only they’d fix the parking at Delray Marketplace. Adding another dinner restaurant will only make things worse.
Here’s another picture showing the space it will occupy:
