All defendants are innocent until proven guilty.

We have a few familiar faces and names in this week’s arrest report. On the bright side we only found six arrests which is a fairly low number. And of course please remember that West Boca actually has a very low crime rate.
On the upper left of the mugshot array is Stephen Kirk (23 years old), arrested Wednesday for battery. He appeared previously in a February arrest report for burglary. That charge was resolved with a plea to a misdemeanor battery and time served.
Mr. Kirk’s reported address is in Camino Real Village, southwest of Camino Real and Military Trail. He remains in custody at this writing. The new case is being handled in domestic violence court.

Daniel Smail (top center, 25) was arrested late Tuesday and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The case is being treated as domestic violence. He appears to be a West Boca High graduate.
Last week we reported on a Shamayra Smail at the same address arrested for domestic battery. Her case remains open and is scheduled for an appearance later this month.

New to WBN is Robert Erclauz (35), arrested Tuesday for burglary and felony battery. His reported address is in Mission Bay’s Cordova Estates. Court records indicate the two charges are for separate incidents, burglarizing a car in March and the felony battery is from Tuesday, apparently causing serious injury to the victim.
Mr. Erclauz has a lengthy and significant history. The first incident we see is from a 1996 Sun-Sentinel article for conspiracy to buy cocaine. We don’t see that one in court records so perhaps was expunged. We do see several other cases including arrests in 1999, 2001, 2003, and several in 2009 and 2010. In 2011 he received a 2 1/2 year jail sentence that looks like a package deal for eight felony charges including grand theft, dealing in stolen property, burglarizing cars and resisting an officer with violence.
We also see a 2011 DUI (a month before his felony plea) and a 2013 domestic battery case in Broward that looks like it happened before his prison sentence should have been completed. On the bright side we don’t see anything in Miami-Dade.

Shaun Fox (lower left, 35) was booked early Monday for cocaine possession. His reported address is in the Sandalfoot trailers, though for political correctness we may start calling the area West Sandalfoot. Mr. Fox has a few cases in the county, mostly traffic with one small marijuana case. We also see something about evading tolls in Broward. Broward records also show a Shaun Fox with two felony cases back in 1997. The name is identical and the date of birth is almost identical, but we can’t tell if it’s the same guy. It’s more likely a coincidence.
We’ve had another Fox in our arrest reports but the addresses are different and we don’t see any other connection.

Returning to WBN is Robert Jones (bottom center, 61), accused of a DUI. Mr. Jones first appeared in our pages in April arrested for a non-moving violation and with no specific address. He also appeared in May for stalking, again with no address. This time he has an address, in Logger’s Run’s Country Landing III subdivision. Mr. Jones was also arrested for a failure to appear, probably on one of the earlier cases. He remains in custody.

Finally, Cyd Wolsmann-Flores (lower right, 49) was arrested Sunday by Boca PD for DUI. Her reported address is in New Floresta off Potomac near Jog. The only history we see for her is a minor traffic case back in 2007.
