Crime Report: Battery, DUI and Swindling
We have six more arrests to report over the past few days. Starting in the upper left, Getulio Barbosa (29) was arrested for DUI last night, and released this morning. His reported address is in the Holiday City subdivision of Palmetto Pines, south of Palmetto Park near Hammock Street. He purchased the house in 2006. He may be studying aviation somewhere south of here.
Barbosa had a concealed weapon charge back in 2004 that was dropped, a marijuana case in 2007, and a few traffic tickets. There are a couple of other Getulio Barbosas who have had cases in Palm Beach and Broward but they are much older.
Top center is Kelly Flanagan (19), who was arrested Saturday night by Boca PD for grand theft and fraud or swindling. Her reported address is in Tudor Woods at the far west end of West Sandalfoot. According to the Palm Beach Post police allege she stole clothes from the Anthropologie store in Town Center, and posted pictures of herself wearing the stolen clothes which is what led to her arrest. She was released after several hours in custody. She’s had a couple of traffic cases in the county.
Luis Rodriguez (top right, 40) was booked early Sunday morning on charges of battery and resisting an officer with violence. He was released that afternoon on bond. His reported address is in the Gables Marbella apartments toward the west end of Boca Del Mar. He’s had several traffic cases in Palm Beach and a couple in Broward, but nothing more serious that we can see.
Robertson Grant (bottom left, 42) was arrested for DUI by Florida Highway Patrol on Saturday. He was also charged with driving on a suspended license and refusing a breath or blood test. His reported address is in the Boca Arbor apartments on the east end of Boca Del Mar. He was only in custody for a few hours, though it probably seemed longer to him. His case does not show up in the court system’s records yet.
In the bottom center of the mugshot array is Kathryn Wilson (44), arrested Saturday by deputies on four counts including a county ordinance, battery on an officer, firefighter or EMT, and resisting both with and without violence. Her address is listed as “at large” in Boca Raton. She was previously in our arrest report for April and also our May arrests. The April blotter entry had her address in the Sandalfoot trailers.
Casandra Alvarez (bottom right, 22) was arrested Saturday night by Boca PD on 3 counts: aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal mischief, and child abuse. The blotter indicates an address in the Boca Entrada apartments on the west side of 441 across from Sandalfoot Square. She was released before noon.
The Palm Beach Post covered this one as well, though it’s not completely clear. The “deadly weapon” appears to be pepper spray she used on her ex-boyfriend. That charge just might be dismissed, unless pepper spray is more powerful than we realized. Allegedly the spray got on $3000 worth of clothes in Town Center’s American Apparel, ruining them. As for the child abuse, we’re guessing the ex might be younger than 18, and we’re wondering whether he had it coming and if so what he must have done.
The only prior history we see for her in the county is for a particularly fast speeding ticket back in 2011, along with a couple of minor traffic charges from the same incident. She’s also had a few tickets in Broward, for seatbelt and toll violations. She works a couple of clerical jobs.
