Sex Trafficking in South Florida
Katie Ford, the former CEO of Ford Modeling will be the Keynote Speaker at Human Trafficking: The Modern-Day Slave Trade. The discussion will take place September 11, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at City Fish Market located at 7940 Glades Road in Boca Raton. Ms. Ford is the founder of Freedom for All, a not-for-profit organization that partners with other organizations to create long term, systemic changes to end slavery in the countries where they work and to save lives by freeing people who are held in slavery. Thursday’s discussion is presented by The Advisory Board of Florida Atlantic University’s Center for Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies. Palm Beach County State Attorney David Aronberg and Katrina Rosenblatt, a sex trafficking survivor, will also be speaking at the event.
