Obituary: Carol L. Brown of Boca Pointe
West Boca News is saddened to report the passing of Carol L. Brown at the rather young age of 54. Mrs. Brown was a resident of the Cloisters development within Boca Pointe, in the southeast corner of what we call West Boca (south of SW 18th and just west of Military Trail).
Mrs. Brown was known for her leadership in the Boca Raton Garden Club. Below she’s pictured with former Boca mayor Susan Whelchel:
She was the past Boca Raton Garden Club President. She chaired the Mounts Botanical Short Course and was also preparing to teach at Tropical Short Course. She completed her last Spotlight interview of fellow Garden Club Member, Bonnie Newman for the Boca Raton Garden Club Newsletter, one week before she passed.
A mass and burial will take place Tuesday in her hometown of Shamokin, Pennsylvania.
West Boca News sends our best wishes to her husband Bruce and the rest of her family and friends.
