Spring Break Activities

If you’re having a staycation for Spring Break, there is plenty to do locally with the kids next week! There are quite a few options for spring break camps as well as activities for both parents and kids to enjoy together.
patchreefThe Patch Reef Park is having a Spring Children’s Fair on March 17th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fun for ages 2-12. Free attractions include Strawberry the Clown, arts and crafts and a fire truck. Rides cost $3 each or $15 for an unlimited bracelet. Food, games and face painting will be available for purchase.
daggerwingThe Daggerwing Nature Center is holding a Mommy, Mother Nature & Me program on March 17th at 10:30 a.m. “Polar Party” is the theme. Children ages 2-5 are welcome. $3 per person and call 561-629-8760 for reservations. Older kids may enjoy Geocaching By Bike on March 21st at 1 p.m. $5 per participant. Learn how to use a GPS hand held unit or bring your smart phone with the GEocaching Intro app.
The Glades Road Library is celebrating on March 17th at 4 p.m. with Leapin Lizards! All ages are welcome to enjoy stories, a film and craft. On March 20th at 4 p.m., your family can make a time capsule with your own personal items. Ages 5 and up. Preregister for both programs by calling 561-482-4554.
The West Boca Library is celebrating Spring Break Tuesday through Friday with activities for all ages. March 17th is Leaping Lizards! at 11 .m. and Gator Chomp with Daggerwing Nature Center at 2:30 p.m. March 18th is LEGO in the Library at 2:30 p.m. for ages 5-10. March 19th is Morning Crafts at 10:30 a.m. for ages 3-8 and Fun with Fly Guy at 2:30 p.m. for ages 4-8. Finally March 20th is a family movie “Planes -Fire and Rescue (PG)” at 10:30 a.m. Preregister for these programs by calling 470-1600.

The Drop In Action Sports Complex is open all week from 12 – 8 p.m. Admission is $10. March 16th is Bike Night for those ages 12+. Admission is $5 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Spring Break Activities are taking place at Sugar Sand Park on March 18, 19 and 20.
manoflamanchaMan of La Mancha is showing at The Wick Theatre on March 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22. The 2 p.m. matinee is on March 18th, 19th, 21st and 22nd. There is a 7:30 p.m. show on March 18-21. Tickets are $72.
The Boca Raton Children’s Museum is open everyday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is located at 498 Crawford Blvd in Boca Raton. Admission is $5.
