More Restaurant Inspections: Good Week

Since it’s mostly good news we’ll start with the best this week. Moon’s Tavern in Boca Greens had a perfect inspection, another in long list of good ones for them. Sushi Yan on Federal Highway in East Boca also had a perfect inspection, as did a couple of the internal facilities at Boca Grove.
Blue Martini at Town Center was nearly perfect with just one minor violation. Good inspections were also recorded by:

  • Steve’s Wood Fired Pizza in Boca Lyons Plaza (2 violations, 1 high priority)
  • Boca Italiana on Glades near the Turnpike (2, 2)
  • Olive Garden on Powerline (2, 0)
  • Rancheritos de Boca in Somerset Shoppes (2, 0)
  • Boston Market in Town Center (2, 1)

We also see pretty good inspections for Zinburger in Town Center (4, 1) and Villa Rosano on Clint Moore (5, 3).
The Bad News
The worst overall report for the week goes to the Grill Masters 02 hot dog vendor based at Rogers Circle, which was shut down temporarily on an emergency order. They had ten violations including three high priority:

Employee began working with food, handling clean equipment or utensils, or touching unwrapped single-service items without first washing hands.
Employee failed to wash hands before changing gloves and/or putting on gloves to work with food.
Establishment operating with no potable running water, water tank empty. Operator filled water tank, battery dead, pump not working.

We’re not sure but think maybe the lack of running water was the reason for the shut down. They were cleared the next day.
The other notably not great inspections were for Orient Kitchen on Yamato (12, 1), Regency Japango (9, 0) next door to that, and two in Town Center – Pinon Grill (8, 2) and Tobu Teriyaki Grill (7, 2). But generally inspections with less than 10 violations are not that bad.
