There were other problems (20 violations in total) including food temperature issues and a stop sale:
Stop Sale issued on potentially hazardous (time/temperature control for safety) food due to temperature abuse. Cook stated, Chicken is been marinating for 3 days, temperature was 45°F-46°F.
The restaurant had a perfect follow-up inspection a few days later, and we believe they reopened.
The biggest news in this report is a new Mexican restaurant, Blue Moon Mexican Cafe Boca, on SW 18th at Powerline in the same plaza as Carrabba’s. Their licensing inspection was pretty good with 2 violations, 1 high priority. We see a few reviews of the place on the internets, so it looks like they’re open, though their website and Facebook page don’t show it.
On the good side Lucille’s BBQ in Delray Marketplace registered a perfect inspection with zero violations.
There’s nothing too bad in the rest of the inspections. The most notable included:
- Saquella Cafe in Royal Palm Place had 15 violations, 5 of them high priority
- Kapow Noodle Bar in Mizner Park with 12 violations, 4 high priority
- Sicilian Oven on St. Andrews (12, 3)
- Sushigo (our favorite sushi place) on Federal Highway (10, 4)
- Ouzo Bay in Mizner Park (9, 2)
- Habit Burger on Military Trail (9, 2)
- Funky Biscuit on Mizner Blvd (8, 3)
- Henry’s on Jog just over the Delray line (7, 2)
- Jersey Mike’s Subs on Palmetto at Powerline (6, 2)
- Chipotle on Palmetto at Powerline (4, 1)
As usual our spreadsheet is below. Please note that the state inspection database changes over every year around July 1, and in the process we tend to miss inspections toward the end of June and early July. The new database starts at July 5th.
