This is one of the best weeks we’ve seen for restaurant inspections, though there were not that many in West Boca. A few local restaurants near Glades Road west of the Turnpike made the list.
Three restaurants feature this week in a short report.
Little Brazil (north side of Glades close to Office Depot and the Turnpike) had 3 violations. None were marked high priority.
Rancheritos de Boca in Somerset Shoppes (Glades at Lyons) had 5 violations, 1 high priority.
Potentially hazardous (time/temperature control for safety) food hot held at less than 135 degrees Fahrenheit or above. – white rice held at 109F. Operator opted to dispose of rice, using fresh cooked rice rather than reheating partial pot.
Fresh Bites Cafe in Mission Bay had 6 violations, 1 high priority.
Dishmachine chlorine sanitizer not at proper minimum strength. Discontinue use of dishmachine for sanitizing and set up manual sanitization until dishmachine is repaired and sanitizing properly. – DM Chlorine tested at 0 PPM. **Corrected On-Site** **Repeat Violation**
