Crime Report

Eight incidents to report including sexual battery on a 9-year-old, a few DUIs and a couple warrants, plus maybe a poor choice in girlfriends.

Neighborhoods involved are Coral Lake (near Glades Library), Meadow Lakes Estates, Boca Chase, Watergate Estates, Sandalfoot Cove, and East Boca.

34-year-old Quinton Cole returns to our pages on a Broward warrant for a probation violation due to a retail theft. He has numerous priors.

We think we previously covered that retail theft here: https://westbocanews.com/2019/12/crime-report-wild-week/

His previous appearances were in March and February. Cole is a resident of the Coral Lake apartments near the Glades Road library.

40-year-old Terri Honeycutt of Meadow Lakes Estates was arrested for DUI after a crash at Palmetto Circle N and Del Prado Circle S.

Deputies took a few witness statements. After arresting Honeycutt, they took her to a breath test and she registered roughly 0.20, 2 1/2 times the legal limit. The descriptions of her appearance and behavior at the scene do not seem consistent with being hammered.

Fernando Curiel-Sanchez (48, East Boca) was arrested for multiple sexual assaults on a girl who was 9 and 10 year old at the times of the assaults. Sanchez attempted to commit suicide when police arrived.

The girl was a student at JC Mitchell Elementary at the time of the abuse. In 6th grade Sex Ed classes she learned this behavior was wrong and should be reported. It appears Sanchez lived with the girl’s family and provided financial support.

78-year-old Kathleen Sewell of Watergate Estates was arrested on a Broward warrant for a case of driving while suspended. We see several cases in her past in both counties including traffic and evictions.

Kemberley Papoy (49, Waterberry – Boca Chase) was arrested for DUI. She had prior DUI cases in 2008 and 2017 including a refusal. She refused a breath test on this case making it a felony.

Deputies say Papoy made a left turn on a red light from 441 into Boca Chase, stopped in the middle of the intersection and then backed up into the car behind her.

Leonardo Beltran-Sandoval (46, Sandalfoot Cove) was arrested after offering money for sex to to an undercover Boynton Beach officer in front of a fire station there on Federal Highway.

We see no other cases for him.

23-year-old Michelle Rhenals of Arbor Club was arrested for battery. Apparently she was angry at her baby-daddy for spending too much time at the home she wrecked. The victim had gone up to West Palm Beach to pick up his other kids from the wife he’s divorcing and was gone for 3 hours.

She hit him in the chest and scratched his arm while taking his phone. She then intentionally entered the wrong passcodes into his phone to lock it so he couldn’t use it.

Court records show a domestic battery case in 2017 and a burglary in 2018. She’s also currently suing someone over a 2017 car accident on Yamato.

Jose Trejo Ramirez (26, East Boca) was arrested for DUI. The Boca Fire Department found him asleep at the wheel after 5 am on NW 13th about halfway between Boca High and Boca Regional Hospital. They called Boca PD.

His two breath test samples registered 0.229 and 0.246, roughly triple the legal limit. That different of 0.017 is just barely close enough to meet Florida breath test standards and could suggest a problem with the breath testing device.
