Crime Report – Guns, DUI, Drugs and Domestic Violence

Our latest crime report includes a man charged with over 500 counts of illegal weapons possession after a shooting in the Watergate Estates trailer park. We also have a Woodfield Country Club couple getting each other in trouble, drugs in the O’Connor’s Pub parking lot (again), plus residents of Alister Apartments, Sandalfoot Cove, Boca Del Mar, Saddlebrook, and Century Village.

Recent graduates of Boca High and Spanish River High also make their appearances. And there are at least a couple of DUI cases where the evidence suggests likely innocence.

Diana Jaggernath (37) was charged with Simple Domestic Battery after police found her attempting to stab her boyfriend with a knife in their apartment at Alister Apartments (aka Boca Entrada). They had gotten into an argument over family matters and after she scratched him it escalated from there. She claimed she was just trying to open the door with the knife, and he agreed that she wasn’t looking to harm them with it. This is her first offense in Palm Beach County.

It’s not clear why she wasn’t charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

30-year-old Jacklyn Smith of Sandalfoot Cove was charged with Violation of Condition of Pretrial Release, Aggravated Assault, Petit Theft, and 2 counts of Criminal Mischief following an interaction with her father against his No Contact Order. She had been banging on the front of his house with a club/stick trying to enter.

Questions that arise from this relationship are answered with her slew of domestic violence and cyberstalking cases against her family. Additionally, she has a couple felonies and 4 other misdemeanors.

East Boca’s 62-year old Mark Rudow was charged with DUI (drugs). As the police were conducting their DUI investigation, Rudow admitted he was “high” on Xanax, one of his prescriptions. The arrest happened in Lantana.

As he was in a holding cell, he was unable to stand on his own, landed on another prisoner, and was transferred to the main jail. When asked to submit a urine sample, he was unable to despite having drunk 3 bottles of water. He stated “I can’t pee, I’m guilty”.

Rudow has a history of different felonies, misdemeanors, criminal traffic cases, and domestic violence in Palm Beach. The list includes two previous DUIs in 2001 and 2013, and he had an interlock device in his vehicle during this traffic stop.

He registered 0.000 on breath testing.

East Boca’s Joseph Ciccone (32) was stopped on Powerline near Boca Grove and charged with DUI/Property Damage after colliding with another car at around 10 at night. It appears PBSO initially suspected alcohol, but Ciccone registered a 0.000 on the breath test.

Pro tip: For those who say never to blow, note that Ciccone and Rudow both registered 0.000.

He then agreed to provide a urine sample. We don’t know the result of that test yet, even though it’s over a month since the traffic stop. It’s not clear if they had an adequate basis for requesting the urine test based on what they reported.

Previously, he’s only gotten traffic infractions, but lots of them.

Country Park’s Eric Hise (22) was charged with Possession of Schedule IV Substance (more specifically Alprazolam) after telling a driver to hit him with their car on Glades Rd, then likely having been rejected, proceeded to just jumping in front of cars on I-95. All of this happening at roughly 2 am.

Police were called, and upon Hise’s arrest, police found Alprazolam on him. Hise has had one other felony, and one misdemeanor here in Palm Beach County and maybe some history in Miami-Dade as well while he was living at a previous residence in the trailer park.

Oddly the police report indicates Hise is a student at Boca High, which is probably false as he’s 22 years old.

Saddlebrook’s Claudia De Oliveira Martins (49) was charged with Child Abuse and Battery. She had hit her 16 year old son with a plastic cord when he had been disrespectful to her. He sustained a 6 inch wound to his shoulder. This is the first incident we see for her.

28-year-old Edwin Valle was charged with 509 counts of Felon in Possession of Firearm or Ammunition. Deputies found 507 rounds of .22lr ammunition and charged him with one count for each, along with another count for a 9-round .22lr revolver. We’re not sure where the last count comes from. For readers unfamiliar with firearms, the .22lr caliber is among the least powerful types of ammunition (though still capable of causing serious injury or death).

Additionally, he was charged with Using a Firearm Under The Influence of an Alcoholic Beverage, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Shooting Into a Building. In the past, he’s had another felony, two misdemeanors, and a couple violence-related cases.

This latest incident started with a gunshot in the Watergate Estates trailer park. A resident heard the shot, found a bullet in his refrigerator, and called PBSO. Deputies surrounded the trailer next door. Two men came out and said the guy they wanted was inside. Eventually Valle came out, intoxicated. One of the other men said that Valle had pointed a gun at the wall of the trailer and fired. The witness expressed concern that Valle might be suicidal.

A warrant search of the residence led to a backpack with all the ammunition.

East Boca’s Layanna Pereira-Jorge (28) was charged with a DUI when police found her in Lake Park, asleep at the wheel at around 7:00 AM in traffic. She claimed she was tired, but police noticed a strong odor and slurred speech.

The police report indicates no results from breath testing but does not indicate whether she refused or if there was some other reason.

We see no history for her.

Boca High and Palm Beach State alum Justin Aman (22) was charged with Trafficking in Cocaine, Trafficking in LSD, Trafficking in MDMA, Possession of Paraphernalia, Trafficking of a Schedule III Substance, and Unlawfully Possessing a Property for Trafficking after police entered the home with a search warrant.

Although he tried to flush some of it down his toilet, police ended up recovering cocaine, ketamine, LSD, mushrooms, marijuana, MDMA, codeine, and various paraphernalia. Aman currently resides in Boca Palms Condominiums in Boca Del Mar, and this was his first ever criminal incident in Palm Beach.

Woodfield Country Club’s 46-year-old Danielle Bachor was charged with Domestic Battery after an argument over finances with her fiance which took place in the evening. It turned into a slapping/pushing match, and upon the police being called, it was found that Bachor was the primary aggressor.

Just three days later the fiance, Andrew Brodsky, was arrested for battery against Bachor:

Brodsky (48) is a real estate broker (Integrity Realty Group) and amateur chef. Bachor is a real estate agent. Brodsky’s history includes a few minor cases including a previous battery against a Woodfield neighbor and some traffic tickets. He and his now ex-wife were also sued by Congregation B’nai Israel in 2012 for not paying camp and school fees of over $20,000.

James Lynam (33) was charged with Reckless Driving Causing Serious Bodily Harm and Reckless Driving Causing Injury to Property or Person. Lynam was speeding at around 8:00 AM and struck another car when both decided to merge into the same spot at the same time. A witness claimed to have seen a “huge explosion,” and this was verified by security cameras. Lynam’s passenger sustained a traumatic brain injury, a broken femur, broken jaw, broken hip, and lost 10 teeth.  Lynam himself suffered a crushed windpipe injury.

He’s faced other felony charges in the distant past, and has had a criminal traffic charge in the past as well.

It should be noted that Florida appeals courts have been tough on prosecutors in reckless driving cases in the past. A good example is the Stracar case. Lynam has a good chance of winning this case if he fights it.

23-year-old Aviel Dahan of the Palacios subdivision of Boca Del Mar was charged with DUI and Driving while License Suspended after police spotted Dahan leaving Brickyard Bar & Grill after 3 am.

Pro tip: Nothing good happens after 2 am.

The deputy contends Dahan was driving in a reckless manner, leading to the stop.

Dahan admitted that his license was suspended, and police also notice his speech was slurred and described his eyes as glassy. Other than some traffic infractions, this is his first criminal charge that we see for the Boca-born Spanish River graduate

On a breath test Dahan registered 0.147 twice in a row. That’s not a good sign for his case, though he’ll probably get into a diversion program.

Kelly Schroeder (48) of Century Village (Brighton) was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Giving False ID to a Police Officer in Delray Beach. Police had responded to a call about Schroeder attempting to steal items from a Walgreens on Federal Highway. They had asked for an ID, and she claimed she didn’t have one, saying her name was Kelly Beth Lepper. They searched her bag and found a pawn chip with her real name on it. After transporting her to the police department for an outstanding warrant, they also found a crack pipe hidden in a cigarette box, hence, the paraphernalia charge.

Kelly has an extensive criminal history, including a felony, 5 misdemeanors, and one case of criminal traffic. She has been in our crime reports at least a few times.

20-year-old Allessendro Nigri has an FAU address. He was charged with Sale or Offer for Sale Counterfeit Goods.

He was selling counterfeit Rolex watches on an app called LetGo, and authorities were tipped off by Rolex itself. Police set up a fake deal to go down in the parking lot of Office Depot at the turnpike. 5 watches were to be sold for $300 each.

After the sale, he was detained, and the watches were confirmed to be counterfeits from China. This is the first charge we see for Nigri.

Another return visitor to our crime reports, 43-year-old Stacy Brooks of East Boca is back, charged this time for DUI, Failure of Driver to Report Crash, Improper Backing (Up), Operating while License Suspended/Cancelled/Revoked, Possession of Open Container (of Alcohol), and Leaving Scene Without Giving Information.

Brooks got into a car crash, fled, and when confronted by police she cursed them out. She’s had 2 felonies and 2 misdemeanors in the past as well as a shocking amount of Traffic Infractions. Her previous case in our reports involved a fight with her elderly mother.

She registered over 0.27 on breath testing, or more than triple the legal limit. She claimed she was on her way to rehab.

36-year old Danielle O’Brien was charged with Possession of Alprazolam and Possession of a Schedule III Substance. Deputies patrolling the O’Connor’s Pub parking lot in Sandalfoot spotted her and a man in a car weighing drug baggies, which turned out to be cocaine. While being asked for her ID, police also spotted pills in her bag, which were Alprazolam pills.

O’Brien has also had a couple misdemeanor cases, another felony, and various traffic infractions in the past. Her reported residence is in Reflections of Boca Del Mar.
