Sips and Sounds

Summer Sips & Sounds continues Thursday, August 15, at 6 p.m. with Music of the 1960s!

The 1960s was truly the decade of change for the little-farm-town-with-a-fancy-resort, Boca Raton. FAU and Marymount (now Lynn University) opened, and the city finally got its own high school. The Boca Raton Community Hospital was born, and a company called IBM came to Boca to manufacture small mainframe computers.

Enjoy music made famous in the 1960s by such artists as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Barbara Streisand, and Liza Minnelli.

Tickets are $40 per person at bocahistory.org/summer-sips-sounds, including pre-concert drink refreshments (wine/water) and post-concert appetizers.
