Veterans Day Fair in Picadilly Square
Join BARCLAY Performing Arts located in West Boca Raton for our Americana themed Veterans Day Fair in Picadilly Square on Sunday Nov. 11th, 2018! The festivities will begin at 11am sharp with the National Anthem and a tribute to our Veterans and fun & festivities are FREE! The event will include a host of surprises and fun including a bounce house, cotton candy machine, DJ, food trucks, pie-eating contests, leadership tables, a visit from Captain America (and other guests!) and more! The event precedes BARCLAY’s production of ASSASSINS; an American Musical starring Cameron Kasky as Lee Harvey Oswald at 2pm at the Boca Black Box Theatre in Picadilly Square.
This Veterans Day, November 11th will be the 100 year anniversary of the Armistice Deal. This deal was signed in 1918 on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, ending World War I. This is the origin of Veterans Day, so at 11am we will celebrate 100 years of honoring our Veterans who fight to protect our country, no matter what may be going on inside our own borders. We welcome you to celebrate and stand in unity and solidarity with us and our community.
This Free Americana themed event will conclude with Joe’s Dawg’s hot-dog eating contest and J&D’s Cakes’ (Cake Wars Winner!) pie eating contest at 1pm! Contestants of the American Apple Pie & Hot Dog contests will compete to win 2 free tickets to BARCLAY’S production of ASSASSINS (along with other prizes)! ASSASSINS will be performed in the Boca Black Box Theatre, also located in Picadilly Square, Sunday, November 11th at 2pm and Monday, November 12th at 7:00pm (Cameron Kasky will take the stage as Oswald for the Veterans Day 11/11 performance!).
