Biergarten in East Boca
I met my friend Alex for lunch in East Boca today. The place we aimed for was not open Mondays so we chose the nearby Biergarten.
It’s in a nice plaza a couple blocks south of Palmetto and on the east side of Federal Highway.
We started with an impressive pretzel.
It came with three small dipping sauces, yellow mustard, honey mustard and the last one seemed like cream cheese.
I had a salad of red and yellow tomatoes with a curried sausage. The dish was okay but I didn’t get any hint of curry in the sausage.
Alex had a sandwich, maybe corned beef. And he had the optional reubenizing.
He seemed to enjoy it.
Biergarten has a pleasant atmosphere in a great location. It’s definitely something different as we don’t see much German food.
If you like sausages, sandwiches or salads it’s worth a try. Especially if you like big pretzels.
