Marcia Yolman (above left, 60) and her daughter Hayley Ray Yolman (right, 21) were both arrested on the 18th. Mom was arrested for domestic battery. During the course of the incident, the daughter apparently had a confrontation with a police officer and she was arrested and charged with a felony.
Hayley’s father Ken Yolman is an architect and author who “currently lives in exile in the Caribbean.” His book, Dad Beat Dad: A Journal of Divorce and Custody does not appear to have been successful. His exile also seems to be in St. John, part of the US Virgin Islands.
Hayley is a fan of tattoos and may be an aspiring actress.
The Yolman’s reported address is in East Boca south of Palmetto and west of Federal Highway.
Since that release he had a string of traffic tickets in 2011 and then got arrested in 2013 on a felony cocaine charge that the Palm Beach State Attorney resolved with one day in jail. In December he was arrested for burglary and released on bond. You might wonder how a repeat felon who’s served over 10 years in prison gets out of jail on only $3000 bond for a burglary charge, but then you might start questioning the entire criminal justice system in South Florida. Of course he’s innocent until proven guilty, but for now at least his bond has been revoked and he’s in jail.
Mr. Balliro’s reported address is just south of Town Center Mall.
Jenia Schlecter (28) was arrested on the 18th, accused of stealing something worth over $600 from Sears. Ms. Schlechter has had a few arrests over the past couple years for mostly similar incidents. It might be tempting to judge her harshly unless you consider whether there might be some underlying problems.

When it comes to what a mom figure means in my life, what comes to mind most is the unconditional love and the acceptance for the person I was born and have grown to be. After having spent the first 7.5 yrs of my childhood in a Russian orphanage surrounded by neglect, abuse, and hatred, I feel that I can truly appreciate the role my mama plays in my life. It was almost 20 years ago that a woman living a life that one would find fulfilling as it was, would ultimately aspire to make a sacrifice to save my life, protect, and guide me to evolve into the person I want to be. A troubled history doesn’t make it okay to steal, but maybe this young woman needs some help, rather than hate.
Rounding out this arrestee report are, from left to right, Spencer Cohen (25), Brenda Haggerty (51), Jonathan (aka Johnathan) Toroni (24) and Michael Wachtel (23).
Mr. Cohen was arrested for two hit-and-run counts along with fleeing an officer. He has quite a history, with three felony cases (burglary, drugs, and theft) from 2007 that look like they lead to a couple years in state prison, and a burglary in 2008 that was dropped (possibly as a part of the deal on the 2007 cases). His reported address is just east of the Turnpike near Boca Raton Synagogue.
Ms. Haggerty, whose reported address is near Boca High, was arrested in Delray Beach on charges including public intoxication and the odd pair of battery on an officer and resisting without violence. She has a similar open case from back in October which was originally charged as a felony but dropped to a misdemeanors, a felony retail theft case from 2011 that was reduced to a misdemeanor and then dropped, a DUI from 2010 and several other minor cases in the Palm Beach courts dating back to 2005.
Mr. Toroni had a bad week. The Boca Del Mar resident was booked and released on the morning of the 17th for trespassing and resisting without violence. 28 hours later he was booked for criminal mischief with property damage. It’s unclear why he was released on the first one since he is on probation for a felony heroin charge from June. He might be a Villanova graduate.
Another Boca Del Mar resident, Michael Wachtel was popped on the 19th by Delray PD for robbery with a firearm. The offense allegedly took place on the 13th. His Facebook profile seems to have disappeared but this looks like it might be him. We don’t see any prior history for him in the county. He was apparently identified by people riding by the pawn shop he’s accused of robbing, per the Sun-Sentinel. That scenario may make this a tough case to prosecute, and of course all arrestees are innocent until proven guilty.
