Young Frankenstein at West Boca High

wb-drama
West Boca High’s drama department is performing Young Frankenstein. We had the opportunity to attend Saturday’s performance. There are three more performances open to the public, on Friday the 7th at 8pm, and Saturday the 8th at 2pm and 8pm.
yfWe enjoyed the show. Eddie Datz did a great job in the lead role as Dr. Frankenstein. On stage he reminded this writer of actor James Franco. He had great presence and sang well. Nick Anarumo and Lydia Castillo also did well in their prominent roles as Igor and Inga. The three had great chemistry.
It was a faithful reproduction of the Mel Brooks film. The 5-minute version of that movie is below, but the live show is well worth seeing. Some parents may find the content inappropriate for young children, as the show is filled with sexual innuendo and there is one prominent curse word. The elementary school student who attended with us didn’t notice any of that and simply enjoyed the performances.

There was a good crowd for the performance and the audience clearly enjoyed it.
