1000th Article on West Boca News

It all started with a very short article in January of 2012.

Nearly 2½ years later this is the 1000th article. We’ve grown and changed. Our header image is not that much different, but we’ve been playing with some ideas so that might happen soon.
Our 10th article was a review of a Japanese restaurant, Doraku, in Mary Brickell Village in Miami in April of 2012.
Our 100th article was about a Republican candidate jamboree in Delray Beach in July of 2012.
Our 500th article was about live theatre at Lynn University in November of 2013. At least that one was arguably in West Boca.
While those were landmark articles for us in terms of their place in our history, they were not the ones most people read.
Here are the most-read articles we’ve done:
1. Facebook does something new – This was not intended for West Boca readers. It’s an article for internet geeks, and 14 of the top 20 cities reading it are in other countries.
Local stories dominate the rest reflecting what we’ve seen. Our readers are interested in crime, restaurants and other businesses, and local roads.
2. Publix Prostitution Sting

3. Restaurant Inspections for April 2014
4. Tilus Lebrun Arrested for Murder at Jimmy the Greek
That story made some national news because the accused was supposedly motivated by the victim posting his picture on the internet, and that led to his mugshot all over the internet.

5. Massage Prostitution Arrests

6. West Boca Teens Arrested

7. Steve Brown Killed
8. Arrests in Wild West Boca
The lingerie party picture may have helped that one:

9. Restaurant Inspections: Early May
The #10 story is recent and still news:

And now we move on, to 1001 and beyond. Thanks to our readers for paying attention. We hope we keep your interest for a while longer.
