It is with great pride that we share the Samaritans365 program with Olympic Heights High School. Through participation in the Samaritans365 Club, students learn what it means to be a true “Samaritan.” They are given the opportunity to listen to interesting and professional speakers who are community members dedicated to doing something for the good of others. Students will be educated about different ways to contribute, the experience of joy derived from giving, and the difference it can make in the lives of others. Our ultimate goal is that all students are committed to being service-oriented global community leaders and environmental citizens. Thank you for supporting this important, educational, and inspirational program.

All meetings and activities will be held in Ms. Posner’s room, room 2206, from 3:00 – 4:00 pm. Meetings that include speakers will be held the second Thursday of the month. There may be community service hours awarded for different collections/drives, as well as activities done at meetings, to be determined as each opportunity arises.
On February 12th, a representative from The Pajama Program will be speaking to the group. The Pajama Program’s mission is to provide new pajamas and books to children in need. Many of the children served are waiting and hoping to be adopted. Many of them have been abandoned and have never enjoyed the comfort of a parent tucking them in at bedtime with warm, clean pajamas and a bedtime story. The group will present the representative with books and pajamas they have collected. You can buy books at the dollar store and pajamas at Walmart and Target.
Upcoming speakers include a woman from the organization of Child Survivors/Hidden Children of the Holocaust, and representatives from Animal Aid and Florence Fuller. If you would like to participate, contact Alayna at [email protected] or Deborah Posner at [email protected].
