Grown Men With Teen Girls
It’s usually not good when adult men get involved with teenagers in the wrong way, and we have two such incidents in this week’s crime report. One of them lives on Sandalfoot Boulevard and the other one says he was an Uber driver and used Lyft to carry out the alleged crime.
We’re behind and catching up. This article covers March 15th to March 19th. Full details below for paid subscribers.
Dunel Alce, a 34-year-old Haitian immigrant, is already facing a charge of unlawful sexual activity with a minor from 2018. From the documents it appears he fathered a child with this girl when she was 16. She is a recent immigrant from Haiti. He was released on $10,000 bond from the earlier case.
On March 14th of this year Boca PD says Alce sent a Lyft to a Broward group home to pick up the same victim, who is now 17 years old. The girl called for help after Alce locked her in a room in the home where he lives just east of Dixie Highway and south of Spanish River.
He is now facing three additional counts of unlawful sex with a minor, one count for violating a no-contact order, false imprisonment and tampering with a witness. His bond is now set at $250,000. Other than these two cases we do not see any criminal history for Alce. He told police he currently works selling cars. During the previous case he said he drove for Uber.
According to PBSO, Mr. Josh Jones went younger. The 37 year old was hanging out in the Alister apartments (Boca Entrada) on March 16th with the 13-year-old victim, her unidentified 14-year-old friend and an black male who may be a juvenile because the reports have his name blacked out. Jones was kind enough to buy some Four Loko (an alcoholic beverage) for the teens. He then laid down with the girl on a pool chair and touched her breasts and vagina.
Much to Jones’ surprise some of this activity was illegal and he is currently in the care of PBSO’s main detention center with bond set at $215,000. The charges are lewd and lascivious battery, lewd and lascivious molestation, and contributing to the delinquency of a child.
Jones did a short stint in the Florida prison system about 10 years ago on cocaine charges. He has had several cases in Palm Beach County since 2011, which were mostly dismissed or resolved with little or no consequences. His reported address is on Sandalfoot Blvd in the trailer park, just west of Sailfish.
Bradley Bensen (26) was pulled over on Clint Moore near Congress for driving with an expired tag. It expired in 2017. PBSO found an active warrant for an unresolved ticket regarding the expired tag, and found that his license was suspended. He also admitted to having marijuana in the car. Dude it was just one gram. You could have eaten it.
We see no other criminal history for Bensen, who may work at a local Chipotle.
Boca PD pulled over Kristopher T. Carter (25) at Mizner and Palmetto after he was driving erratically with his lights off at 3 am on the 18th. The arresting officer felt Carter was intoxicated and took him to the station, where he asserts Carter registered over 0.14 on the breath test. However the breath test paperwork indicates there was no valid sample, so Carter may have a shot at beating the DUI charge.
Carter’s reported address is in the Lake Forest apartments in Boca Del Mar. We don’t see any meaningful criminal history for him. He’s also charged with possession of a very small amount of marijuana along with paraphernalia.
Quinton Cole (33) makes a quick repeat appearance after a heroin arrest in January. Cole lives near the Glades Road library, and this time he was arrested for felony retail theft. PBSO’s report says Cole stole four blood pressure machines from the CVS at Yamato and 441.
So far our courts seem uninterested in holding Cole accountable for repeat instances of stealing from stores. We’ll see if that changes at all. It doesn’t look good. This is his fourth arrest in 7 months and third felony. Despite that history he was released on $3000 bond.
Dawn Healing (52) of the Pradera neighborhood off Powerline was arrested and charged with grand theft and an organized scheme to defraud. Macy’s security accused her of stealing cash from the registers. The report indicates 17 different thefts totaling nearly $1200, plus clothing items around $400. We see no criminal history for her.
Joshua Neff is back after just a couple weeks. He was previously arrested for domestic battery boyfriend and is back now for violating the no-contact order from that previous incident. He locked himself inside his boyfriend’s apartment, which violated the order
Perry Nyitray (21) appears to be an FAU student and graduate of Boca High. According to Boca PD he was drunk at O’Brien’s Pub near Federal and Palmetto. Staff tried to get him to leave, along with Boca PD and apparently some bystanders or friends of Nyitray, but it got messy and Nyitray now faces both disorderly conduct and resisting charges. While we see no criminal history and this case will probably resolve well, it might be a good time to stop drinking.
John Grummel (60) gets arrested a lot for drinking in public. It happened again, this time in Delray Beach. His reported address is in East Boca near the St. Joan of Arc church.
Cameron Koehler (21) looks like he could be the jerk frat boy in a lot of 1980s movies. About 2 hours after Nyitray was thrown out of O’Brien’s, Koehler refused to leave the same place and was arrested by Boca PD for trespassing. Both incidents occurred on the 17th. Koehler’s reported address is in the Boca Palms apartments not far from Grummel’s address. We see no criminal history for him either. Drunk and stupid is no way to go through life son.
Minada Carlotto (43) was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and also battery. The Brazilian native allegedly grabbed or scratched her husband and then threw a bottle of Jack Daniels at him. Calling that a deadly weapon seems a bit of a stretch. The incident happened after they went out drinking for St. Patrick’s Day. Seems like there’s a lesson this week about alcohol.
Diego Carreno-Alba (30) of Southwind Lakes was arrested after punching his wife in the shoulder, causing a bruise. Not much more to the story.
Joao DaSilva (75) of Palmetto Circle was charged with battery after punching his wife in the arm during a family argument. Again, not much here.
Boca Colony’s Nicholas Dollins (29) was arrested on St. Patrick’s Day shortly after noon. He and his girlfriend were arguing about “getting another dog.” During the argument he slapped her with his “ball cap” and bumped his head against her several times. There’s no indication of any injury nor of any conversation with Dollins for his side of the story.
Winning the most interesting ears contest is Eric Farley of the Watergate Estates trailer park off Sandalfoot.
The 34 year old had an argument with his sister on the phone, hung up and went after his girlfriend. Things went poorly after he called her “a fat nigger loving cunt.” He then grabbed her, causing a bruise on her arm. Broward courts show multiple previous charges against Farley for domestic violence, repeat violence and dating violence, with at least a couple involving the same victim.
Maybe he’s not the one.
Spencer Hearn (54) of East Boca was arrested for battery after grabbing his girlfriend, causing a bruise. He had been drinking heavily all day. Broward records show a previous domestic violence case against him in 2017, with a different victim.
Vincent Murray (51) of Southwind Lakes and his girlfriend may have started drinking early on St. Patrick’s Day because the arrest was at 10 am, after they had come home from Turn 3 in Sandalfoot. He called the police claiming she attacked him, but he was arrested for battery after police found bruises on her arm and a mark on her eye. Broward court records show he was arrested for felony DUI in 2015, and had some cases in the 1980s as well. He does appear to be on state probation from that case so it could create more problems for him. Maybe drinking had something to do with this one too.
Last for this report is Timothy Sirmeyer (43), also of Southwind Lakes, who is accused of felony battery for strangling his wife with a necktie. Court records show 48 cases in his name, but most are traffic tickets. He does have a couple recent cases of cyberstalking or repeat domestic violence involving a different victim.
