Crime Report: Kidnapping, Drugs, and Burglary
In early September, there were multiple crimes that occurred in West and East Boca, including a resident of East Boca charged with kidnapping, cocaine possession for a Watergate Estates resident, and a West Boca woman charged with DUI in a bizarre encounter with deputies on Glades Road.
Mason Demint (27) was arrested for burglary on September 15th and has not been released. Demint broke into an apartment on Clint Moore Rd while the resident was sleeping. Demint had taken a wallet and a set of keys from the apartment. The resident said Demint appeared intoxicated and was not communicative. Demint told police that he had been breaking into places and stealing all night. Demint’s current address is reported as “at large” in East Boca, which usually means homeless.
We found a past drug case for Demint from Ohio.
Neelawattie Mohan (36) of East Boca was arrested for kidnapping or false imprisonment, and aggravated assault on September 16th. Police heard a loud banging noise coming from a hotel room in Extended Stay America. Mohan was yelling at her boyfriend because he was talking to other girls, threatening him with a kitchen knife that was seen placed on the bed. The boyfriend tried to leave the room but Mohan refused and started stabbing the bed out of anger. Mohan said the knife was used to cut her hair, but after said it was used to cut her dentures.
Additionally, Mohan had her two children in the room, one of whom told police that Mohan threatened the boyfriend with the knife. She was arrested on the 16th and released the next day.
Bonnie Kane (54), who lives in the Watergate Estates trailer park, was arrested for cocaine possession on September 16th. Deputies noticed a white GMC Yukon traveling north on State Road 7 that had an expired license plate. Deputies stopped the car and noticed that the driver was visibly nervous and unusually emotional when finding out the tag had expired. Her license also turned out to be suspended. She was asked to step out of the car and if she had anything illegal, but said she was holding something for a friend. In her purse, two small bags of white powder substance (3.1 grams) was found, and were tested positive as cocaine. She was released on the 17th. She faces the cocaine charge along with the expired plate ticket and the driving while suspended charge.
Keryn Connolly (32) of Boca Glades (near Boca Municipal Golf Course in West Boca) was arrested for multiple charges of drug possession and a DUI. Deputies stopped a Silver Nissan driving without lights at night, and stopping at a green light on Glades Rd near City Fish Market and the Turnpike entrance. The paperwork is a bit confused as another document indicates Connolly was already stopped and was out of the vehicle at the Daily’s gas station when she first encountered the deputy, who then allowed her to drive away and then stopped her on Glades.
Deputies found a plastic bag containing 34 complete rectangular pills which were identified as Xanax. Boston native Connolly said she bought the drugs from a neighbor for a friend and denied taking it. Connolly was seen as impaired and had slurred speech, having mood swings and a short attention span, and having leg tremors. Also, she stated she was an accountant, then a doctor, and then a lawyer. Lastly, she was saying that she went to Daily’s gas station and then later said 7-11. She was arrested on September 19th and released the next day.
In her favor on the DUI charge, deputies had her blow into the Intoxilyzer breath test machine and she registered 0.000 two times. She was then asked for and refused to provide a urine sample. This creates issues – why did they have her blow into the breath machine? What’s the basis for the urine sample? It’s not clear that the refusal will hold up if challenged.
Connolly had a previous Boynton Beach felony charge for battery on law enforcement officers in 2018, though that was later dropped.
Wilson Feliciano (67) of East Boca (originally Brooklyn) was arrested for aggravated battery. Feliciano’s son, Anthony Feliciano, wanted to use his phone to make a phone call. Feliciano said no and then struck Anthony with a baseball bat. The son had red marks and was slightly bleeding from both his elbows and his right back side. Feliciano said that he is afraid of Anthony because he is a boxer and, supposedly, wanted to use the phone for a drug deal. Feliciano was arrested on September 16th and released the same day.
The son (pictured below) appears to have a lengthy criminal history with a pending felony and is a registered sex offender.
