The Daggerwing Nature Center is offering two more Fishing Fridays this summer. The dates are July 25th and August 8th from 1o to 11:30 a.m. Kids ages 8-15 are welcome to try their hand at freshwater fishing.
Classes include fishing pole basics, casting tips, freshwater fish identification and fish habits. The Nature Center provides all fishing supplies but participants should bring sunscreen, a water bottle and closed-toe shoes or water shoes. The fee is $10 per child per class.
Space is limited to 10 per class so please preregister by calling 561-629-8760. You can also visit the Daggerwing Nature Center to register. Daggerwing Nature Center is located in South County Regional Park.

On July 22nd at 6 p.m. is a Chocolate Tasting Party! for ages 11 to 17. Kids can explore chocolate through tastings, trivia, games and more. (Glades)
On July 24th at 3 p.m. is Prehistoric Popcorn for ages 8 through 12. The Florida Public Archaeology Network will make a hands-on presentation about popcorn archaeology. (Glades)
On July 25th at 2:30 p.m., kids aged 3 to 8 can enjoy Winter in July Crafting. Create winter themed crafts in the story room. (West Boca).
What's Playing at the Movies for Kids?
This week some cheap movie options for kids can be found at Cinemark Theater in Boca Raton and Frank Theatres at Delray Marketplace.
Walking with Dinosaurs (PG) is playing July 22, 23 and 24 at Cinemark at 10 a.m. Tickets are $1 per show.

Great Week for West Boca Panthers
The 12-and-Under West Boca Panthers Travel Baseball Team, coached by Bobby Stallone, Chris Buscaglia, and Shane Thewell, went to the Hall of Fame this past week.
The team enjoyed a 5-1 run in seeding games at Cooperstown Dreams Park the week of July 12, 2014, seeding 16th out of 104 teams from across the nation and Canada. In doing do, the team broke several long-standing records.
They were ultimately defeated by a talented team from Houston, Texas, to end their incredible run.
Congratulations to the players and coaches for a truly memorable week!
