Drzewucki Arrested: Drugs, Battery, Kidnapping, Tampering

drzewucki-drugs-etc
Back in May we mentioned Alexander Drzewucki (46) in one of our arrest stories. He’d been picked up on a warrant from Broward County.
Well, Friday he was arrested on various charges in Palm Beach County. It’s quite a list:

Marijuana
Drug Equipment
Drug Possession
Battery
Domestic Battery by Strangulation
Kidnapping or False Imprisonment
Tampering in a Felony Proceeding
Probation Violation

His reported address is in Sandalfoot Cove (east of 441). Court records show a substantial history for Mr. Drzewucki including multiple felony cases in Palm Beach County and a couple in Broward, one of which is still pending.
Sheriff’s records show he remains in custody at this writing.

False Imprisonment in West Boca?

liam-heinz-kidnap
A Tampa man is accused of “kidnapping” his ex-girlfriend by breaking into her West Boca apartment and keeping her trapped there for a few days.
Liam Heinz (age 31) faces four counts including kidnapping or false imprisonment of an adult, tampering in a misdemeanor proceeding, battery, and criminal mischief damaging property.
Heinz was arrested on Thursday and remains in custody. Court records indicate the incident occurred in late May, and he was arrested on a capias warrant. A motion was made to release him without bond and that will be heard in a few days. Heinz retained a defense attorney from Coral Gables.
Court records from Hillsborough County (Tampa) show a few cases for Mr. Heinz including some petit theft charges and one felony case involving grand theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also has a pending drug felony in Broward County that was filed in late May.
Of course, all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
The Sun-Sentinel has additional details but we cannot verify their version at this time.

10 Arrests for Early July

As always, those arrested are innocent until proven guilty.
early-july-mugs2
We have ten (Update: two removed so now eight) arrests to report for early July. First up is “JL Bosarge” (top left, 54) whose address is listed as “At Large” (in other words, homeless) in Boca Raton and was arrested by PBSO deputies, charged with a county ordinance violation for open container. Mr. Bosarge was booked Wednesday morning and released Thursday evening. The blotter shows his release as for “time served” which suggests he pled guilty to whatever it was. The court docket does not reflect that, however. We see some prior history including a felony arrest back in 2002 and a few other cases.
Top center is Francine Jackson (49), accused of grand theft. Boca PD’s blotter indicates it was a retail theft. Her reported address is in Century Village. Booked on Tuesday, she has not been released yet. Bond is set at $3K. Ms. Jackson has a few cases in the system including felonies from 2011 and 2013. She pled guilty to dealing in stolen property in the 2013 case and did a short jail sentence along with probation, which is probably ongoing. The 2011 case was a grand theft, dropped to petit theft and then dropped completely.
Bottom left is Douglas Gallop (39), charged with aggravated battery causing bodily harm. His reported address is in Tudor Woods just west of the Sandalfoot trailers. Arrested Tuesday, he was released Wednesday evening. It’s an odd battery case because the offense date is back in early May.
Monique Baz (bottom center, 23) was arrested for battery on Friday and released the next day. Her reported address is in Arbor Oaks, just north of West Boca Medical Center. The courts have it as a domestic incident. We see no priors.
West Palm Beach police arrested Matthew Hanyecz (bottom right, 26) on Thursday and he’s charged with grand theft, fraud, and dealing in stolen property. The police blotter indicates this arises out of an incident reported to them a couple days earlier at a home on Dock Street just north of Belvedere near I-95. Court records say the offense actually occurred in early June. Hanyecz is a West Boca High grad. Court records show drug trafficking and grand theft charges from 2007 that led to a 3-year prison sentence.
Mr. Hanyecz may still have an interest in marijuana and/or other drugs.

Paul Tedaldi (left, 58), a new resident of Island Lakes, was arrested Friday for battery and released about 24 hours later on $1000 bond. It’s being treated as a domestic incident.
Robert Hanson (2nd from right, 49) was arrested late Tuesday for robbery and battery on a person over 65. His reported address is in the Sandalfoot trailers and brings up an almost artistic view on Google Street View:

Per the Palm Beach Post, Hanson asked an older friend for $6, and then:

took the man’s belongings, removed the man’s pants … hitting him in the back of the head multiple times, throwing him to the ground and stepping on his neck, cutting off airflow.

Mr. Hanson has not been released yet. Court records show an aggravated battery with a deadly weapon back in 1997 for which he got 3 days in jail; a 2002 burglary charge that was dropped; a 2007 battery on a police officer that was reduced with little or no consequences; a 2008 domestic battery that was dropped; and some traffic cases.
Last in this report is Jose Sousa (right, 45), arrested late Friday or possibly early Saturday for DUI. His reported address is in Sandalfoot Cove, just southeast of the soon-to-open Walmart.

Sandalfoot Battery Arrests

battery-mugs
In addition to yesterday’s summary of DUI arrests, we have six battery cases to report. Battery is one of the most common charges we see and we saw more than usual this past week, mostly in Sandalfoot.
On the top left is Linda Fairbanks, 38, who resides in the east end of the Sandalfoot trailers. She was arrested Wednesday night by deputies, and released just after noon Thursday. We see no prior history for Ms. Fairbanks.
Top center is Richard Rogers, 22, from the west end of the trailers. He was arrested Sunday night and charged both with domestic battery and a minor marijuana possession charge. He was released today. He also had a warrant outstanding from 2009, “obtaining merchandise or money with a false receipt.” That last one sounds like it will be dismissed on speedy trial grounds. He’s also had several cases in Broward including one or two felonies.
Christina Moss (top right, 22) was arrested Thursday and released Friday. Her reported address is in Sandalfoot, but just east of 441. Her case is also being treated as a domestic incident. We see no other history for her.
Bottom left is Gloria Quintero (35) of the Boca Palms apartments in Boca Del Mar. She was arrested late Saturday and released Sunday afternoon. Similarly we see no history for Ms. Quintero.
Shirley White (bottom center, 25) was charged Saturday night for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Her reported address is in the west end of the Sandalfoot trailers not far from Rogers’. She was released earlier this afternoon. We see no criminal history for her either.
Nicholas Thomas (bottom right, 27) was booked Thursday morning on a regular battery charge. His reported address? Yes, the west end of the Sandalfoot trailers also close to Rogers and White. Mr. Thomas is a Spanish River grad and previously appeared in our arrest reports in April.
Credit Mr. Thomas for being thoughtful about his situation. Many people think those arrested are just criminals and that’s it. They’re people too – usually good people facing difficult times.

stubbs-resist
One last arrest to report is Walter Stubbs (27), from the Palms of Boca Del Mar apartments. He was charged Saturday night with the somewhat infamous “resisting an officer without violence,” a vague charge that is often dismissed. He had a felony assault charge last year that was reduced to a misdemeanor assaulting a police officer and he did a short stint in county jail. He’s also had multiple felonies and other cases in Broward.

More Arrests: A Questionable Assault

This is our second arrest story today. For the first please see Olympic Heights Teen Arrested for Fleeing.
buggeln-cadet-perez
We often start our arrest stories with something like: “All defendants are innocent until proven guilty.” Our first arrest in this story is one of the stronger defense cases we’ve seen in a while.
Peter Buggeln (top left, 55) was arrested Tuesday, accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon during a June 19th encounter with a man outside his restaurant, the Eagle Grille in Greenacres. We read the probable cause affidavit. The “victim” accused Buggeln of threatening him with a gun. When police confronted Buggeln, he admitted the encounter, saying that it appeared the man was trying to break into closed businesses and refused to leave the premises.
We’re betting Mr. Buggeln wins this one, or perhaps prosecutors will see the light and drop it. Among other things the alleged victim made inconsistent statements. Buggeln’s reported address is in Boca Lake off St. Andrews Blvd.
Top center is Pierre Cadet (40) of Meadow Lakes, accused of domestic battery. His ex-girlfriend accused him of hitting her in the face during a brief argument. He denied touching her. She refused to allow police to photograph the alleged injury, suggesting this will be a difficult case to prosecute. Oddly, Mr. Cadet is listed in some business directories as a department store and there is a business listing in his name on Google Maps at his house. We use Google Maps a lot and have never seen that before. He might own a store on 441.
Arian Perez (top right, 30) was initially accused of kneeing an emergency room nurse at West Boca Medical Center over the weekend. Then on Monday while in the county jail he allegedly hit a deputy in the face during the fingerprinting process. We don’t see any prior arrests for Mr. Perez. His reported address is in The Lakes at Boca Raton northwest of Yamato and Cain. We think he might be a Spanish River graduate.
ziello-tow-gates
Peter Ziello (left, 39) was arrested Sunday for “child abuse.” The paperwork is hard to read due to sections blacked out to protect the names of children. But it appears one of his kids sprayed another with a fire extinguisher. When the father found out, he sprayed that kid with the fire extinguisher to teach him a lesson. The only history we found for Mr. Ziello were a couple of minor traffic tickets. Let’s hope this one gets dropped. We’re not even sure it qualifies as bad parenting.
We rarely see civil contempt arrests. Steven Tow (middle, 57) was booked on Monday for it and released that evening. As best we can tell from the paperwork, he’s behind on child support and Judge French doesn’t think much of Mr. Tow’s excuses. His reported address is in Boca Woods, and the property appears to be headed for foreclosure.
The other day we reported on a career criminal attacking a Boca beach lifeguard. We now have more information on that case. From the paperwork, Arthur Gates unlawfully entered lifeguard tower #6 and then attacked the lifeguard, at one point putting him in a choke hold. When police arrived Gates attacked one of the officers. Another officer used his Taser several times on Gates and then they were able to get him in handcuffs. He then tried to kick the officers. Gates is designated a career criminal by the state with a lengthy history including a conviction for Attempted Murder in the 1st Degree.
