Three middle schools in Boca Raton will have new hours under a new transportation plan by the Palm Beach School District. This includes Omni Middle in West Boca. Don Estridge and Boca Middle, which both serve some West Boca residents, are included in the change.
Effective October 26th, the new hours for all three schools will be 9:30 a.m. to 4:05 p.m.

The changes will allow these schools to optimize instructional time for students. The revised schedule will not affect morning school bus stop times or locations for students who ride buses, though afternoon schedules will be adjusted by approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

Watson B. Duncan Middle in Palm Beach Gardens is also affected.

The four bands facing off were the top finishers in competitions leading up to the finals. The event is sponsored by the Swing & Jazz Preservation Society, an organization devoted to supporting Palm Beach County public schools with swing and jazz bands.

Please note that we did not have photos of the swing bands so for this story we used other photos of the school bands.
