Watergate Burglar: A Repeat Offender from West Sandalfoot

alicia-anderson-burglary
The west end of Sandalfoot Boulevard is home to many arrestees and we have another one from Thursday. Alicia Anderson, 24, whose reported address is in the Watergate Estates trailers, was charged with burglary, larceny, fraud and dealing in stolen property.
This is not Ms. Anderson’s first experience with our court system. County records show a few traffic tickets, a misdemeanor, and two previous felony cases. In 2009 she faced felony drug charges which were dropped by prosecutors. In 2010 a minor marijuana offense was also dropped. However an incident in 2012 led to a case that made the Sun-Sentinel, calling her a “vacuum thief.”
If we read the record correctly, she pled guilty to multiple counts including felony grand theft and was sentenced to 2 years probation. That didn’t go well, her probation was revoked in January of this year and she served a few months in county jail.
If that’s not enough, there’s this classy photo of her:

Loggers' Run Teacher Arrested: Grand Theft

studstill
Loggers’ Run Middle School teacher Sheena Studstill was arrested Saturday by Palm Beach Gardens police and charged with Grand Theft. Booked late at night, she was released Sunday just before noon.
We attempted to contact the school and the school district but were unable to reach anyone who could comment. The principal and vice-principals were in a meeting, and the person answering the phone at the school district communications office did not seem to understand the English language, nor how to operate their phone system.
Ms. Studstill, whose reported address is in Riviera Beach, has had quite a few cases in Palm Beach County. Court records show felony drug court from back in 2003, a 2004 domestic battery charge that was dropped, criminal traffic charges from 2009 and 2012, and several other traffic cases. All of the criminal charges against her in the past were dropped by prosecutors.
The 2003 and 2004 incidents led to state discipline in 2007 (yes, they move that slow) regarding her teacher’s license, including a letter of reprimand and 2 years probation. It is our understanding that she teaches Civics, Social Studies and/or History, and she is not in school today.

Career Criminal Rearrested on Warrant

burdgick
In an early June crime report we mentioned Larry Burdgick, who had been arrested on June 5th and charged with multiple counts of larceny and burglary. Burdgick was released on bond June 9th.
He showed up again in the blotter just now, booked this morning on an “out-of-county warrant.” We looked around and see he has two pending cases in Miami-Dade County for Grand Theft that appear to have happened after he was released on his pending cases here.
FDLE lists Burdgick as a career offender, and he has a lengthy history of burglaries, thefts and more in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties dating back as far as 1988.
Burdgick’s reported address is in the Tiburon apartments near the corner of Camino Real and Powerline.

Arrest Week: Burglary, Battery and Larceny

We remind our readers that:
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty; and
West Boca has a very low crime rate.

late-may-arrests
We have five arrests to report in this short week.
On the upper left we have Brett Anderson (age 25) who was arrested Thursday for burglary and larceny. His reported address is in the Sandalfoot trailers west of 441, and he may be a Coconut Creek High graduate. He remains in custody at this time.
David Ellis
David Ellis
Something looked familiar about his address and we looked it up. David Ellis was in our early May arrest report with the same address.
Palm Beach court records in the new case for Anderson put his offense date almost three months earlier. Such delays usually indicate a problem for the prosecution. We see six other arrests for him including felony drug charges last year and this year, all of which were dropped by prosecutors. Broward courts show a couple of misdemeanor cases.

Nadia Franca (above right, 41) of the Horizons apartments in Boca Lago was arrested for larceny. This was charged as a very low level offense and she was released several hours later without need for bond. Court records show no priors and that this is a “retail theft.”

On the lower left, Deanna Fraschilla (50) was arrested Wednesday night for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. The Sun-Sentinel reports she hit her neighbor’s girlfriend in the face with a “large, black metal object.”
Despite this being the third time she’s been in our arrest reports this month, the apparently violent nature of the current charge, and her past history of burglary and battery, she was released the same day on only $10,000 bond. We’re sure her neighbors in Boca Rio will appreciate that.

Bottom center is April Gehlhaus (39) of the Boca Entrada apartments. She was arrested and booked early Thursday morning by Boca Raton PD and charged with battery on an EMT. Boca News Now relates some details, and the Boca PD blotter corroborates to an extent.

This occurred at the Dubliner in Mizner Park, where Gehlhaus threw up and then was abusive toward police and medics, including hitting an EMT with “an open fist.”

Finally, on the lower right is Gregory DeFilippo (37) of the Tuscany Pointe apartments (near SW 18th and Military Trail). He’s accused of battery, was arrested Wednesday morning and released Thursday afternoon. We don’t have solid personal background on him, but he may work in either finance or fireworks.
Court records show this as a domestic violence issue and a previous one from last year that was dropped by prosecutors, as well as a 2010 DUI arrest where he was “adjudicated guilty by court” and sentenced to probation.

Arrest Week – Part 2

hankammer-newson-griffin
Erika Hankammer (left, 30) was booked early Wednesday for battery. Her reported address is in Countrypark off SW 18th between Boca Rio and Lyons. She’s a Patriots fan and was released after half a day in custody. The case is being treated as domestic violence. We see no criminal history for her, with a couple old traffic tickets.
Terrell Newson (center, 27) was arrested Tuesday for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery. The Boca Rio Banyan resident has not been released yet, and might not be helping himself with the nickname “Cut Throat” though we’re not sure that’s him. We see multiple felony and misdemeanor cases for him dating back to 2007, most of which seem to be domestic incidents and court records indicate that for this case as well.
newson-cut-throat
On the right, Destiny Griffin (18, Sandalfoot Cove) was arrested Monday for battery. The courts are treating it as a domestic incident. In 2013 she had a few traffic tickets and a retail theft case in the courts. This incident might cut into her babysitting business.

ellis-colletto-norenalopez
Arrested early Wednesday was David Ellis (left, 28) from the Sandalfoot trailers on four larceny counts including one felony grand theft. He has not been released yet. The case looks a little quirk as the offenses allegedly occurred in late February but he wasn’t arrested until 2 1/2 months later. He has a few prior incidents in the county from back in 2007 or before, and a few more in Broward.
Raymond Colletto (center, 41) was arrested for cruelty toward a child and/or child abuse. The Sun-Sentinel reports he was drunk and bit his nephew in the face. His reported address is in Colonnade near off Jog south of Yamato. Court records show what look like a couple DUI cases (1995 and 2008) and a couple previous violent domestic incidents (2008 and 2013) as well.
Cristian Norena-Lopez (right, 26) was arrested Monday for burglary. He was released the next evening. We see no court history for him. Boca PD alleges he “attempted to enter an occupied vehicle” in a bank drive-through lane.

His reported address is in the Boca Gardens townhomes south of Clint Moore between 441 and Lyons. Incidentally we’ve had recent reader reports of misbehaving skateboarders in and near that neighborhood.
