Author of "A German Life" to Speak at Congregation B'nai Israel

To Speak About his Father’s Nazi Past, His Conversion to Judaism and
Move to Israel
Dr. Bernd Wollschlaeger, author of “A German Life,” will speak on March 24 at 7 p.m. at Congregation B’nai Israel (CBI) to discuss learning the truth about his German father’s life as a highly decorated German tank commander in WWII and his father’s role as a Nazi and lack of regret about the Holocaust. Wollschlaeger will also address his delving into Judaism, followed by his eventual conversion and move to Israel.  Dr. Wollschlaeger will sign books immediately after the talk. Tickets for the public event are available for $18 on CBI’s website or by phone at 561-241-8118.  Doors open at 6 p.m.
“Dr. Wollschlaeger’s story is historic and unique,” said Sharon Wagman, CBI’s executive director. “We are honored to host this fascinating individual and invite community to join us for an educational evening.”
This talk is the last of five in the highly acclaimed 2014-2015 “CBI Talks…Speaker Series” events. The series featured high profile figures, including Mosab Hassan Yousef, author of “Son of Hamas”, Deepak Chopra on “The Future of Well Being”, Bob Mankoff of the New Yorker speaking on “How About Never… Is Never Good for You,” and the documentary film, “No Place on Earth.”
