Crime Report: Boca Chase, Boca Landings, and The Shores

Two residents of Boca Chase appear in our latest crime report along with two in Boca Landings, and another in The Shores.

Sashana Wilson (31, Coral Bay in Boca Chase) is back in our crime report after another recent appearance. Last time she shoved her husband in the chest and threatened to shoot him. This time she allegedly attacked him with scissors, shattering the window of his BMW SUV.

The deputy’s affidavit indicates the husband was or is having an affair. She told the deputy the husband was “showing off his new girl.”

She denies using the scissors claiming she broke the window with her hand.

The only prior we see is the previous incident. There also appears to be a foreclosure action going on.

Randi Hodge (40, Boca Landings) was arrested for DUI by Boca PD on Ocean Blvd in the southeast corner of Boca.

The circumstances of the arrest are unusually vague with no description of how Hodge came to police attention or how she was driving.

She registered 0.16 on breath testing, which is double the legal limit. But it’s not really clear if she was driving (nor that she wasn’t).

We see no priors for Ms. Hodge. She retained a private defense attorney in Palm Beach Lakes.

John Zero (73, Waterberry Estates in Boca Chase) was arrested for a probation violation from his 2019 DUI case that came out of a late 2018 crash on Clint Moore.

Zero is now accused of driving with a revoked license and failing to attend a victim impact panel. Those violations occurred in January and February, leading to this arrest in April.

We see no other priors.

Sergio Piedra (64, The Shores) was arrested for battery. His wife told police that he threw her to the floor during an argument, and this injured her back.

We see no prior arrests.

Boca Landings resident Charles Redlund (62) was charged with aggravated battery, fleeing/eluding and resisting.

The paperwork indicates that Redlund pushed his neighbor (age 75) to the ground, causing substantial bruising. It appears that Redlund was extremely drunk and his actions made no sense, accusing the victim of taking photographs of him.

Redlund then fled the scene. The deputy who was coming to the scene noticed Redlund’s vehicle, matching the description from dispatch.

Redlund fled from the deputy, returning to the neighbor’s driveway. He was not cooperative with the deputy. At one point, while resisting and trying to get away, he fell down and hit his head on the deputy’s vehicle. The deputy also found an empty bottle of vodka in Redlund’s car, and Redlund admitted he was drunk.

Oddly he was not charged with DUI.

Redlund is or was a teacher in the Miami-Dade schools. We see no priors in the local courts but it appears he was reprimanded after a 2005 DUI.
