A new Movement has started in West Boca
Movement, a new fitness studio, opened in Boca Raton in January 2014. The studio, located off of Powerline and Palmetto in Park City Plaza, was built off the principle of paying it forward through grassroots philanthropy projects and powered by people working out. The Movement studio in Boca is the first in Florida. Since opening their doors in January, the studio has supported projects like the Boca Raton Community Garden, the Tri-County Humane Society and the 3rd Sunday for Hunger Project.
Movement offers 1 hour circuit training classes that vary everyday. The menu for that day’s class is posted on the wall. Each class is led by a personal trainer and can be customized for every individual. Whether you are a beginner or a fitness buff, you can try out a class for just $1. The first dollar goes in the 7 foot tall robot located in the back of the studio.
Classes are limited to twenty people and generally consist of weights, floor work and step. Although you can drop in, it is recommended that you call ahead at 394-5994 or schedule online. A month of unlimited group classes is $49. The hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday mornings.
