Once or twice a week we publish some photos that show West Boca’s shine. Most are from our readers. Below are a few. First, our own shot of ducks and other birds on and near one of the lakes in Boca Falls: Next a colorful sky shot from Boca Rio: And last a faint rainbow over Palmetto Park Road:
A reader sent us several photos of an alligator in one of the lakes in Boca Winds. The lake, in the Ashley Park subdivision, is near the Loxahatchee canal on the southern border of the county and toward the far west end of West Boca (south of Palmetto Park Road).
Here’s a few pictures from lake in Ashley Park after the “Environmental Capture and Release” crew caught a 9′ gator outside our back door this morning.
If you think the Sandalfoot area hasn’t gotten enough negative publicity, here’s another one for you. A reader reports that some “thugs” were poaching Iguana’s near the Sandalfoot Publix.
I just wanted to report that I just saw iguana poachers by the Sandalfoot Plaza. The guy claimed to work for the city but considering the car they were driving they looked more like thugs. Not sure if this is legal or not but I thought it was cruel. I hop hope the police can do something about this.
This really doesn’t look like a city car, and the area in question is not inside any city. If anyone has more information or comments, we’d love to hear from you. And of course, we wonder about the age-old question – do they taste just like chicken?
