The musical Xanadu will be performed by Slow Burn Theatre in West Boca starting June 22nd and running to July 1st.
Performances are at West Boca High School, at 12811 West Glades Rd. Performances are set for Friday and Saturday June 22nd and 23rd at 8 pm; Sunday the 24th at 2pm; Friday and Saturday June 29th and 30th at 8 pm; and Sunday July 1 at 2 pm.
Tickets are $35 for adults, $30 for seniors, and $20 for students. The show stars Lindsey Forgey and Rick Pena.
The schedule for the upcoming 2012-2013 season is up on the Slow Burn website as well. It looks like a great slate including one of our favorites, Avenue Q, a parody of Sesame Street that is definitely not for children.

Concert at Mizner Saturday
Update: the concert is just starting at 6:20 pm. The rain has been holding off but it’s looking iffy.

Moon Over Buffalo at West Boca High
Last performance of Moon Over Buffalo is tonight at 8 pm at West Boca High Drama.
Film Festival at West Boca Library: April 25th
The West Boca Library is showing films from the Columbia Film Festival on April 25th at two o’clock in the afternoon until four. More will follow on May 16th.
Other events – on April 26th there will be a men’s reading group discussing “Shadow Divers” at 10:30 am and an “Open Mike Night” at 6:30. Get your poetry on!
Israel's Birthday in South County Park – April 26th
A Boca Raton-based Jewish group, Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, is hosting a 64th birthday party for Israel on Thursday, April 26th. It will take place at the Sunset Cove Amphitheater. The main event starts at six o’clock, but the facility will be open starting at 4:30 with some activities starting around 5ish.
The biggest name on the ticket is local boy made good and American Idol participant Brett Loewenstern, along with at least two other musicians and performances by local school and temple groups. They’re even bringing in a group of kids from Israel to perform.
