Suspicious Gold Toyota Near Hammock Pointe

toyota-close
Not long ago a couple readers reported to us that a man in a gold colored Japanese sedan was trying to get kids to get in his car. We didn’t get much more information at the time, but the story was reported by WPTV in February. At the time concerns were raised near Hammock Pointe Elementary and Verde Elementary.
Now a reader reports to us, and sends us photos, of a gold Toyota Camry sitting on SW 8th Street about 500 feet west of Hammock Pointe Elementary.

The car matches the descriptions from the earlier incidents, though of course “gold Japanese sedan” describes a lot of cars. The reader also tells us that this car has dark tinted windows which is again consistent with the reports from February.
It is our understanding that PBSO has been alerted.
