Crime Week: Drugs, Robbery, Child Porn etc.

It was a busy week for crime in Boca. We have an East Boca threesome gone wrong, and cases from Boca Falls, Mission Bay, Century Village, The Charleston apartments, Boca Rio, Sandalfoot Cove, Pheasant Walk, Boca Pointe, Arium and Boca Del Mar.

Stephanie Cioffi (age 30, resident of The Charleston apartments on Lyons) was arrested for possession of heroin, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, battery on a senior, and introducing contraband to the jail. The assault and battery charges have already been dropped.

Ms. Cioffi was arrested on drug charges in January, including heroin and cocaine. That was resolved with just two days in jail.

The current charges appear to come from an argument with her live-in boyfriend, age 74. According to the description he gave police, she had been drinking and doing drugs, then pushed him, grabbed a large knife and told him she was going to kill him. He hid in the bathroom and called 911. During her jail admission deputies found heroin on her.

We found previous felony arrests for her in 2017, 2016, 20014, 2008 and 2007. We see a previous address in Boca Isles North.

Jeremy Voisine (34) of the Arium apartments at Powerline and Palmetto was arrested for armed robbery. The incident took place at the Sun Trust Bank at El Camino Real.

According to PBSO, Voisine approached his victim outside the bank and demanded money, flashing a handgun in the process. A confrontation ensued and Voisine eventually fled.

Deputies were able to use surveillance footage to track down Voisine, who has a substantial criminal history including a stint in state prison. We’ve covered him before already this year.

Maybe this time he’ll be headed back to state prison, but that might be optimistic for our county prosecutor’s office.

Britnie Evans (21) of Sandalfoot Cove was arrested for theft and misuse of a credit card. Allegedly she was an employee of Macy’s at Town Center and was caught shoplifting over $700 of clothes and charged over $1000 on a credit card she was not authorized to use.

We think she’s an Atlantic High graduate. We see no prior criminal history.

Jose Calderon Rodriguez (27) was arrested after a domestic incident with his ex-girlfriend with benefits. She announced she was leaving to pick up her kid when he went nuts, grabbed her, punched her in the face, smashed her $1000 iPhone X, badly cut her hair with a pair of scissors, and stole her jewelry.

He is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, robbery and more. His bond was set very high, totaling over $300,000. $250K of that is on the robbery count.

The incident took place in the Avalia apartments in Boca Del Mar, formerly Gables Marbella.

He has pending charges from 2018 for driving while suspended. We don’t see any other history for him, but his name is so common it’s hard to search. The high bond suggests there may be a history we’re not seeing.

Anthony Pascale (48) resides near Addison Mizner Elementary, which becomes more of a concern in light of his arrest for possession of child pornography. He told Boca PD that he’s in the business of “sniping” domains – domain names of websites like “westbocanews.com”. But his focus is porn websites and he downloads content from those sites.

Police descriptions of the images indicate they were hardcore images of girls as young as ten or under.

This makes it just a bit disturbing that he indicates he works in talent management for Disneyland (which appears to be false) on his Facebook page.

The only prior history we see for Mr. Pascale is traffic tickets and possible evictions or foreclosures (that might not be him).

Robert Malmid, age 54, was arrested on I-95 for driving a U-Haul that had been reported stolen.

It appears that Malmid legitimately rented the U-Haul but kept it for over a week after he stopped making payments. Malmid’s court record shows a retail theft charge in 2015 and several traffic tickets.

31-year-old Bethanie Cairns of Hidden Lakes in East Boca was arrested for possession of multiple drugs including heroin. Court records show multiple cases for her dating back to 2008.

Her FDLE record shows she did over a year in state prison for multiple burglaries and grand thefts. More recently she had a grand theft felony in 2015 and got just under a year in jail for that.

Christopher Rose (21, Boca Falls) was arrested for domestic violence, allegedly hitting his ex-girlfriend from Port St. Lucie who had come over to his house for the night.

Their stories differ. She claims he got angry when she was leaving in the morning and hit her. He claims she was hitting him as she was leaving and tripped on the carpet.

We don’t see any prior criminal cases for him. Just some traffic tickets.

Jeffrey Seth Weiss, 69, resides in the Cornwall section of Century Village Boca. His wife accused him of holding her by the hair with one hand and threatening to kill her with a lamp he had in his other hand. He was arrested again a few days later for violating the court’s no-contact order when deputies found him outside the unit.

Hyrouance Blaise (23) is back after his June appearance in our crime reports. The Boca Rio resident was arrested this time near O’Connors Pub in Sandalfoot plaza. He’s charged with possession of meth, oxycodone, paraphernalia, and was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for violating conditions of his pre-trial release.

A deputy was conducting an “area check” of the pub’s parking lot when he observed Blaise in a car with tin foil in his lap, a pen, and a lighter. For some reason the deputy thought this was suspicious.

Roberto Cazenave of the Boca Alta neighborhood in/near Boca Pointe was arrested for retail theft from Home Depot in Delray. While using a self-checkout lane he skipped some items totaling less than $30 in value.

He has a previous retail theft case from 2017 and a much older marijuana case from 2001.

Terry Brown (54) of Pheasant Walk was also arrested for stealing from the other Delray Home Depot, allegedly walking out with nearly $900 worth of tools. We don’t see any priors for him.

Thomas Puntillo, 29, of NE Mizner Blvd in East Boca, was arrested for disorderly conduct. The court file does not have any documents that explain the incident in any detail.
