If you haven’t already visited Daggerwing Nature Center at the South County Regional Park, you should check it out. The center is open Wednesday through Friday from 1 to 4:30 pm and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Animal feedings take place Wednesday through Saturday at 3:15 p.m. All ages are welcome and there is no charge to visit.
There are some special events taking place this November. “Mommy, Mother Nature and Me” is a special program for ages 2-5. The cost is $4 per child and reservations are required. Call 561-629-8760 for more information. The program on November 6th at 2 p.m. is Owlets. The kids will explore the world of owls through stories, activities and a craft and see the resident screech owl. On November 22nd at 10:30 a.m., learn about ocean animals with story time, activities and a craft.
All ages are invited to learn about butterfly gardening on November 9th from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Cost is $3 per person and reservations are required.
