Relay for Life is having a community yard sale on April 26th to benefit the American Cancer Society. The event will take place at Mission Bay Self Storage from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This event will help the community gear up for the West Boca Relay for Life on May 2nd, 2015 at Olympic Heights High School. The Relay will take place from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. There is still time to donate or participate. There is also a West Boca Relay for Life fundraiser on April 25th at the Walmart on Palmetto Park Road.

Home Sales in Boca West, Santa Barbara, Fox Landing & Woodfield Hunt Club
The 33434 zip code includes homes between 441 and St. Andrews Blvd, North of Glades Road to Yamato Road. Neighborhoods in this area include Boca West Country Club, Hamptons at Boca Raton, Woodfield Hunt Club, Santa Barbara and Century Village.
Boca West
Boca West Country Club is a top rated country club with four championship golf courses and 31 tennis courts. The Aquatics Center has lots of activities and a sprawling free form pool. The Sports Center has a fitness center and aerobics studio. The community has six restaurants. All homeowners must pay an initial $70,000 membership fee. Close to Town Center Mall, the Club has entrances on Glades Road and Yamato Road.

Celebrate Earth Day in West Boca
Earth Day is April 22nd. To celebrate, the West Boca Public Library is showing a documentary, “No Impact Man,” about a Manhattan family who abandons their high-consumption lifestyle and live a year without causing any environmental damage.
Daggerwing Nature Center is celebrating on Saturday, April 25th with activities from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Nature Center is located in the Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park. There will be guided nature walks, crafts, animal encounters, exhibitors and more. Admission is free but some activities may have a nominal fee. For more information, call 629-8760.
Unbroken on Monday
If you missed Unbroken in the theaters, the Glades Road Library is showing it on Monday, April 20th at 2 p.m. There is no charge to watch the movie. Unbroken is rated PG-13 and was directed by Angelina Jolie. The movie runs 137 minutes.
We saw it. It’s an excellent movie, though might be hard to watch for some.
Dead Body Found Near Delray Marketplace
Update from PBSO: “The victim is an unidentified white or Hispanic female, possibly in her 20’s. An autopsy will be performed today.”
The Palm Beach Sheriff reports that a female dead body was found on the 14000 block of Smith-Sundy Road, about a mile north and a little west of Delray Marketplace.
The location is about a half mile east of US 441, and about a half mile north of the northeast corner of the Four Seasons community (formerly Tivoli Isles). The area is mostly farmland.
So far PBSO is not releasing much information. We will update if and when we learn more.
They do say there appears to have been “foul play.” inn other words this looks like a homicide investigation.
