Update: Per comments it was a pellet gun. No arrest was made.
A reader sent us three photos of an arrest taking place earlier this afternoon in Loggers’ Run Park. The reader heard that the suspect had a gun in his car. The man in the photo appears to be wearing camouflage pants and a black shirt.
In Florida it is not illegal to have a gun in your car, even without a concealed carry license. So either there’s something else going on, or this might be a wrongful arrest. In our experience West Boca deputies are pretty good, so it’s probably something more than just a gun.
We will update if and when we learn more.
Loggers’ Run Park is on the north side of Palmetto Park Road, about a mile west of 441.
